How to split a PDF

    Choose your PDF

    Select a single document from your device.

    Pick a split mode

    Every page, Page ranges, or Fixed number of pages. Use Page selection to limit which pages are included.

    Split and download

    Each output file is named after its pages, such as report-pages-1-3.pdf. Download them separately or together as a ZIP.

The three split modes

  • Every page: each selected page becomes its own PDF.
  • Page ranges: choose Custom range and type groups such as 1-3, 4-6, 9. Each range you type becomes one file, in the order you typed them.
  • Fixed number of pages: the selected pages are cut into runs of the size you set, for example 10 pages per file. The last file holds whatever remains.

How page numbers are read

Page numbers start at 1, as in your PDF reader. Ranges are written with a hyphen and separated by commas. Page selection can also be All pages, Odd pages or Even pages.

A page number that does not exist in the document, such as 12 in a 10-page file, is reported as an error instead of being silently ignored, so you never get an incomplete split without noticing.

How do I extract specific pages from a PDF?

Choose Page ranges as the split mode, set Page selection to Custom range and type the pages you want, for example 2-4. That range becomes one new PDF.

Can I split a PDF into equal parts?

Yes. Choose Fixed number of pages and enter how many pages each file should contain. A 25-page document split by 10 gives files of 10, 10 and 5 pages.

Do the new files lose quality?

No. Pages are copied into new documents without being re-rendered, so text and images stay exactly as they were.

What if I type the same page twice?

Within one range a page is only included once, so 1-3,2 in Every page mode still gives three files.
