Why PNG for PDF pages
PNG compresses without losing detail, so the edges of text, diagrams and line art stay crisp. There is no quality slider because there is nothing to trade away.
The trade-off is size: a page full of photos can produce a much larger PNG than JPG. For photo-heavy pages, PDF to JPG is usually the better choice.
Resolution in pixels
- 72 DPI: about 595 × 842 pixels for an A4 page.
- 150 DPI: about 1240 × 1754 pixels for A4.
- 300 DPI: about 2480 × 3508 pixels for A4, suitable for print.

Frequently asked questions
Do the PNG images have a transparent background?
No. Pages are rendered on white paper, like in a PDF reader, so the PNG has an opaque white background.
Can I export only one page?
Yes. Set Page selection to Custom range and enter the page number.
Why is my PNG file so large?
PNG stores every pixel losslessly. Try 150 DPI instead of 300, or use PDF to JPG for pages that contain photos.
Is my PDF uploaded to render the pages?
No. Rendering happens in your browser. The renderer can request its own code, fonts, character maps and decoding assets from this website; it does not upload your PDF.
