How the size presets work
Each preset limits the longest edge. A 4000 × 3000 landscape photo resized to 1600 becomes 1600 × 1200, and a 3000 × 4000 portrait photo becomes 1200 × 1600. The other side always scales with it, so images are never stretched.
An image that already fits inside the preset keeps its dimensions. Enlarging a small image cannot add detail, so the tool does not upscale.

- Exact custom widths and heights are not available; the presets cover the common web sizes.

Frequently asked questions
Will resizing distort my image?
No. Both sides are scaled by the same factor, so the aspect ratio stays exactly the same.
Can I make an image larger?
No. Images smaller than the chosen limit are left at their original size, because upscaling only adds blur and file size.
Which size should I use for a website?
1600 or 2048 pixels on the longest edge covers most full-width layouts and high-density screens. 1024 pixels is usually enough for inline images and email.
Can I enter an exact width and height?
Not at the moment. The tool resizes to a maximum longest edge. To get an exact shape, crop the image with Crop Image first.
